About Us

On September 5, 1964, Marlboro finally had it’s own Pizza restaurant, The Marlboro House of Pizza was opened. The owners were Stavros and Vasiliki Economou who had come to the U.S. 8 years before from Epiros, Greece.Vasiliki’s mother Anggiliki, as well as her sister Millie and her brother Chris, helped the family open the new restaurant. Prior to becoming The Marlboro House of Pizza, the location had been occupied by a drug store, a laundry mat, and a diner.

In the beginning, The Marlboro House of Pizza sold 700 to 800 pizzas a day, as well as selling their, soon to become famous, “home-made meatball subs”! The Marlboro House of Pizza quickly became a great success. Following this the Economou’s opened 10 more pizza restaurants in the Massachusetts – Rhode Island area.Marlboro House of pizza soon adopted two very devoted employee’s, Melissa and Paul Martins. They quickly became part of the family and were important in the growth and success of The Marlboro House of Pizza. With a strong team and delicious recipes the pizza shop became the best family restaurant in town. On June 28, 1996, after 32 years in the pizza making business, the beloved Stavros Economou passed away leaving the business to Vasiliki and her brother Chris. 7 years following Stavro’s death, Vasiliki and Chris decided to pass the business on to Mike and Ayman Morcos. Mike and Ayman decided to hold true to the original, authentic, Marlboro House of Pizza recipes.

Now Marlboro House of Pizza is 59 years young and still going strong. Recently it’s been voted “Best of the Best” amoung pizza restaurants in the Marlboro area. We think Stavros and Vasiliki who started it all, who were so proud of their new pizza restaurant, would be very proud of how we’ve carried on their tradition.

A. focially developed by The Broaster Company for pressure frying, the newly introduced Broasterie® Marinade and Broasterie® Supreme Seasoning condiments provide operators using Broaster pressure fryers with the capability to produce great tasting Broasterie® rotisserie style chicken in a fraction of the time required by conventional rotisserie cooking methods. Best of all, the resulting product is more tender, juicy, and flavorful than rotisserie oven cooked chicken, yet is nutritionally comparable in calorie, fat, and carbohydrate content.

With a suggested cooking time of just 13 minutes at 360º F in a pressure fryer compared to 60 to 90 minutes in a typical rotisserie oven, this delicious new low carb menu addition allows Broaster operators to enter the soaring rotisserie chicken home meal replacement market quickly, simply, and easily using equipment they already have.
